Lately when dealing with certain companies the QC issues have been like a game of Russian Roulette. With some recent collectibles being riddled with poor paint or poorly fitting attachments, to the other side of the scale of them producing some of their best work for years in recent months. **I have to add that the said company have had some QC issues, but I personally have never had any complaints about their top notch customer service team.

I have  seen that in previous releases that companies would send out the statue and hope for the best. As a low percentage of people would complain about these issues in time or not take the $40 creadit. To be honest this normal process reminds me of the scene in the movie Fight Club

“A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don’t do one”.

Today XM studios put out the post below in response to their minor Ant-man issue…
[/av_textblock]

[av_image src=’https://raddtitan.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/wpid-screenshot_2015-08-27-20-40-20.jpg’ attachment=’788′ attachment_size=’full’ align=’center’ animation=’no-animation’ styling=” hover=” link=” target=” caption=” font_size=” appearance=” overlay_opacity=’0.4′ overlay_color=’#000000′ overlay_text_color=’#ffffff’][/av_image]

[av_heading heading=’Then this update was posted after on one of the forums.’ tag=’h3′ style=” size=” subheading_active=” subheading_size=’15’ padding=’10’ color=” custom_font=”][/av_heading]

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]
From Bryan / Statuforum: “As Ant-man is packed and ready to ship, we will be sending all 700 new heads to all the distributors and customers who have purchased from us – everyone can keep the old head.

It’s more straight forward for the distis, they
order say 50 pcs from us, we will send them 50 pcs of the new heads, and customers who bought from them can contact them to get those heads. For direct customers, we also have their details so we will contact them directly to ship the heads. For people who bought and sold it to someone else, the original customers should still contact the shop where they bought it from (be it direct XM or a disti) and get the head and be a gentlemen (or lady) and send that to your buyer – buyers if you can’t get the sellers to cooperate, get in touch with me and I’ll sort it out for you. (and let me know who’s the seller heh heh… I’ll help you get back at him) “
[/av_textblock]

[av_heading heading=’To Finish up’ tag=’h3′ style=” size=” subheading_active=” subheading_size=’15’ padding=’10’ color=” custom_font=”][/av_heading]

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]
I really do not know what to say apart from two thumbs up tp XM studios. This is an amazing act of great customer service as the flaw was so minor that out of the 700 pieces produced it is likely that less than 100 would complain. then with the volume of XM pieces that are sold through flippers the response would have possibly been even less.

I am also glad that XM are getting involved if the buyer has a problem with getting in touch with their “middle man” as that could have been an issues with the final owner receiving the new head.

Prime 1 new teasers!

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]
Here is the latest teaser of the Prime 1 Studio Bane Statue. Prime 1 revealed that this Batman: Arkham Origins Statue will be part of their Museum Masterline 1/3 Scale Arkham Origins collection. This will stand at over 40″ tall, making it the biggest in the collection.

Personally I would love Sideshow to work on a 1/4 comic book Premium Format or a 1/4 scale Tom Hardy, but it is great to finally see one on the big companies giving Bane some love.

Here is also the Arkham Knight teaser.. With talks of a Joker and Harley Quinn any collector collecting this line will need a big display.

Enjoy 🙂

Hulk (Green) by Sideshow Collectibles finally looking like it will be released!

[av_heading heading=’Green Hulk Premium Format by Sideshow Collectibles’ tag=’h3′ style=” size=” subheading_active=” subheading_size=’15’ padding=’10’ color=” custom_font=”][/av_heading]

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]
Back in January 2015 Geo received his Red Hulk Premium Format statue from Sideshow Collectibles. It looked decent and I have been waiting for my Green version ever since.

It was due in March.. Then it was delayed a little… Then a little more… Now 7 months after and still no shipping email Sideshow have released some new in hand photos of the green beast and I am actually happy I did not cancel, as I told myself on many occasions I would.

Now I have to work out when to display this huge piece…

Deadpool Custom 1/4 Scale Statues

[av_heading tag=’h3′ padding=’10’ heading=’Introduction’ color=” style=” custom_font=” size=” subheading_active=” subheading_size=’15’ custom_class=”][/av_heading]

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]
With the Disney holding back on many of the merchandise licences from the Marvel characters it currently does not have the movie rights for, this has opened the statue market up for custom statue makers to supply the goods that companies like Sideshow, Kotobukiya, Primeone, Xm Studios… are restricted with. This can be the licencing side, but also this can be the creative side. I believe that now Disney owns Marvel the days of seeing Wolverine with a cigar in his mouth are long gone. Even Disney were said to have told to remove a wine glass from the amazing upcoming Medusa piece.
[/av_textblock]

[av_image src=’https://raddtitan.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Fox-vs-Disney-300×109.png’ attachment=’670′ attachment_size=’medium’ align=’center’ animation=’no-animation’ styling=” hover=” link=” target=” caption=” font_size=” appearance=” overlay_opacity=’0.4′ overlay_color=’#000000′ overlay_text_color=’#ffffff’][/av_image]

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]
Fox had some terrible reviews of it’s recent release on the re hashed Fantastic4 movie (which I personally refuse to watch until it is on Netflix and there is really nothing else to watch!) which caused an uproar from fans for FOX to return the movie rights back to Disney, even resulting in a few online petitions on social media. But then there is the up and coming Deadpool movie to be released in February 2016. This movie looks like it will be a hit and it Disney had the movie rights for this it would never have been lined up to received an R rating (15 or 18 in uk) and would have resulted in the movie being a more family friendly movie not worthy of the Deadpool character.
[/av_textblock]

[av_image src=’https://raddtitan.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Deadpool-leaked-test-footage-300×155.jpg’ attachment=’723′ attachment_size=’medium’ align=’center’ animation=’no-animation’ styling=” hover=” link=” target=” caption=” font_size=” appearance=” overlay_opacity=’0.4′ overlay_color=’#000000′ overlay_text_color=’#ffffff’][/av_image]

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]
As in most situations when the movie is released the statues for these piece shoot up in price. I was offered an EX Sideshow collectibles Red Deadpool shortly after release for cost, but now you are looking at over double the original sales price for this piece. There is the option for the currently more affordable Grey X-Force variant, which is still a great piece to have in your collection, but I will always lean to the Red or even consider having the Grey custom painted Red.

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]
This takes me to two amazing customs of Deadpool I have seen floating around on social media. I know I am not allowed to say this and I will cover it with in the piece descriptions, but with both pieces being “Throne” pieces and 1/4 scale they would both fit nicely into my collection, or I would make them.

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]
First off we have this awesome piece by Xionart. I have been lucky enough to have been receiving updates on this piece as they happened. Sneak peeks of sketches and snippets of information regarding the elements making up the very detailed base, to the extra heads and even the Dog-pool that attaches to the base. I have to say at times it was hard for me to keep my mouth shut. This piece is loosely based on the “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe”. The concept of a marvel character sitting of a pile of heroes chopped to pieces I believe could only be pulled off by Deadpool without seeming too grim.

I will be adding the new photos of the Throne and the final painted piece once they are released. If you look in the Gallery of this you can see how huge the final piece will be.

If this is done correct this piece is going to be epic on so many levels. I am super excited to see this complete.

Pre-orders begin on September 1st 2015 and only on Xion’s Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1619511721629568/

Powers – Gambit has the mutant ability to tap into the potential energy contained within an object and transform it into kinetic energy upon touching it. When Gambit thus charges an object and throws it at a target, the object releases this energy explosively on impact. Gambit is unable to use this power to charge living objects. / As Death: He can control deadly gas

After surgery performed by Mister Sinister, Gambit’s powers were restored to their natural potential. He was able to use his power simply by looking at an object that he wished to charge, including living tissue. Gambit could also manipulate the potency of the energy release and could even exercise a measure of control over time. Following his climactic battle with the New Sun, Gambit lost this enhanced level of power.

Gambit’s ability to tap energy also grants him superhuman agility and dexterity, as well as creating a static interference that shields his mind from detection and intrusion by even the most powerful telepaths.

Gambit also possesses a hypnotic charm that allows him to exert a subtle influence over any sentient mind. This power allows Gambit to compel others to believe what he says and agree with anything he suggests. More powerful minds have proven immune to Gambit’s charm.

Abilities – Gambit is bilingual in English and French, and also possesses the ability to throw small objects – including knives, throwing spikes, and playing cards – with extraordinary accuracy. He is also a skilled duelist and fencer.

Paraphernalia – Gambit often wields playing cards and telescopic bo staff.

Powers – Colossus can transform his body tissue into an organic, steel-like substance that grants him superhuman strength enabling him to lift/press up to 75 tons and makes him impervious to most injury. His armored form can withstand ballistic penetration as well as temperature extremes from 70º above absolute zero (-390º F) to approximately 9000º F. Colossus cannot become partially or selectively armored; his body is either entirely converted, or not at all. Even his eyes become steel-like. Through an act of will, Colossus can transform virtually instantaneously into his armored state, and can remain in that form for an as yet undetermined amount of time. Once in his armored form, Colossus remains so until he consciously wills himself back to normal. If he is rendered unconscious, however, he spontaneously reverts to his normal form. In his armored state, Colossus retains his normal human mobility, though his endurance and speed are enhanced. He does not need to breathe while transformed, but it is believed that he could not survive for long in a vacuum.

Abilities – Colossus is talented in drawing and painting.
