Time for something a little different

At RaddTitan.com we have become known for reviewing collectibles from the statue side of things, but today we are going to mix it up and review and unbox a 1/6th figure.

Over the years we have been asked when we will make the switch to 1/6th, if we have ever been tempted to buy any 1/6th and on many occasions ask what we thought of 1/6th, but we have never crossed over to the dark-side… till now.

Alex was looking through the latest tally of his Sideshow  points from past purchases and to the surprise of everyone (including himself) he pulled the trigger on the Deadpool   1/6th by Sideshow collectibles.

Coming from a statue collecting background the first thing we noticed was the size of the box. One of the biggest dramas faced for most collectors is storage of boxes (Box Article), but this was the smallest box we have received and it was a breath of fresh air to not have to play the Shipper/Art Box Tetris that most collectors face when a new piece arrives.

Upon opening the shipper you are met with as really well designed art box that due to the size you could even display behind the figure if needed. There is a print in colour and the same in greyscale.

One you open this up there is a plastic coated backing in the design of a target that again can be displayed with the figure.

Taking the figure out we found it was a little on the light side, but then we are used to Polystone statues of a bigger scale and after talking to a few regular collectors I have been assured that the weight is the weight expected of a piece it’s size.

What is in the box?

After taking the figure out of the box and getting to grips with all of the accessories. We were impressed with the attention to detail that had gone into making this piece.  From the great weathering to the weapons and clothing along with fine details all over the body. Huge thumbs up to Sideshow Collectibles on this piece.

If the quality of Deadpool is anything to go by this line is a must for any Marvel fan and 1/6th figure collector or even someone looking to take the plunge.

The line currently consists of The Punisher and Unreleased Wolverine Sixth Scale Figure

This article was only short and sweet as we have attached the full video review and CLICK HERE to be directed to Sideshow’s website for more information on the piece or to order.
